Sand the surface

Before applying a finish to your surface, it is important to make sure the surface is on bare wood. Prepare your surface to eliminate irregularities.

Test the stain color

The color shown may vary depending on the preparation and the wood species. We recommend testing for color in a discreet area before undertaking the entire project.

Apply the stain

You can now apply a SamaN water-based wood stain to the surface. Apply the stain using the SamaN sponge. It is imperative to vigorously stir the stain so that the pigments are evenly dispersed. Pour a small amount of stain onto the sponge and wipe off any excess with the soft, clean cloth. Let dry for 1 hour.

Varnish the wood

Once your surface is stained with the desired color, you must apply a topcoat to protect it . It is best to apply two coats of SamaN topcoat to seal and protect the wood. They are available in four types of finishes: matte, satin, semi-gloss and gloss.
