Preparation

Clean surface with a damp cloth, and allow it to dry completely before taping.

Application

Using 2-3 feet of ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape at a time, tape all the surfaces you want to keep paint-free (baseboards, windows, tiles and more). Layer each new piece of tape over the end of the previous one and secure the edges with a putty knife or 5-in-1 tool.

Pro tip: For textured surfaces, seal the edge of the tape with the existing base paint colour of the wall and allow to dry before applying the new colour on top.

Removal

Remove the tape as soon as you’ve applied the last coat of paint, or when the paint is dry to the touch. Beginning from the original line of tape, slowly pull it back on itself at a 45 degree angle.
